Lots of projects this week making for quite the busy work! I worked on various small projects that have been needing to be done, such as modifying a rear seat J hook to fit, prepping shock brackets with fake rivets, and replacing the combat rim valve stem protectors. Work on the hood continues, it’s all finished minus the markings! And I continue work on the front axle installing the RZeppa shafts, packing grease into the knuckle, installing the brake plates/drums, and adjusting the brakes!

This week more work was done to the front wartime axle including painting, disassembling the steering rods, etc. Then it started to rain in SoCal, so I shifted my focus to something I’ve been meaning to do for a while… wet sand the hood to find if there were any original markings from WW2 on the Jeep! This yielded some amazing and surprising results on the Jeep’s history. But, I need some help to decipher the numbers! This is a big update!

At the end of the post after some shots of the Jeep while out driving, I break down what’s left to do on the Jeep till I can say I’m pretty much ‘done’. While the overall restoration is finished, there’s still plenty left to do!
