Lots of little projects and two major ones!After last week’s excitement with the hood numbers, this week was a lot of work on various projects. Starting with the painting of more axle parts, replacing some bolts with F bolts, fixing the horn wire, and figuring out issues with the fuel tank sender. Lots of ‘how tos’ in this update!

Adding Glass Stencils, Axle work, and a Jeep model!This week didn’t see as much done as last week, and had it’s share of ups and downs with the axles, but still much done! I added the Ford Safety Glass markings to my windshield glass (full tutorial), continues working on the axles and drums, and then took a day to restore a ‘different’ kind of Jeep!

Quarantine work!This week was one of the busiest weeks I’ve had in a long time during this restoration, mostly because of the current stay-at-home quarantine. The e-brake project was mostly finished, I sandblasted and finished all four brake assemblies for the new axles, and wire wheeled other items!
E-Brake and Axle restoration continues!This week was a bit slow, but lots of little things done including the continued restoration of the original e-brake system, lots of sandblasting, and painting/putting back together the very first part of the wartime axles!
Warbirds, EBrake, and new License Plate!This past week the Jeep went on another adventure, this time to Chino Airport to have some photos taken with warbirds and around Cal Aero Field. Also, I continued work on the restoration of the Emergency Brake for the Jeep and finally got in my custom license plate!
More axle workAfter last week’s excitement, this week was much more calm. This week I continued to clean/disassemble the wartime GPW axles and sandblast various parts documenting F stamps along the way. I also started to restore parts of the emergency brake and checked the PCV valve for carbon/fuel buildup.
The Jeep goes public!This week the Jeep made the first public appearance at an event in San Pedro, CA for the LA Air Raid of 1942! Then the next day the Jeep went to Old Towne Orange, CA for a mini-photoshoot in the area. Overall a great outing with lots of photos! Restoration wise, I was only able to get a little bit of sandblasting in and fixing a broken panel light switch.
Tire Pump, LED Brake Light Conversion, and more!A full week of work since the last update, this week I was able to finish the tire pump restoration project and mount it to the rear seat on my Jeep. I also had my brake light burn out, so I decided to convert it to LED using the original lens! Finally, I sandblast some of the axle items I took off last week and begin to take apart my emergency brake. Finally, I have been prepping the Jeep for its first adventure coming this Saturday!

Tire Pump, Floor Mats, and Axle work!Another week working on several Jeep projects! This week I finished the last steps in the Tire Pump restoration, it’s ready to mount. Also, I may have found the perfect solution to floor mats for the Jeep. Finally, I am almost finished taking apart the axles for their restoration and discover more F stamps along the way.
Axle work, restoring the tire pump, and more!Last week I was on vacation, so here’s a 2-week large update featuring the restoration of a WW2 tire pump for the Jeep and continuing work on taking apart the front wartime GPW axle! Lots of F stamps, grease, and neat discoveries!
