Small projects, Hood Finishing, and Axle work!
Lots of projects this week making for quite the busy work! I worked on various small projects that have been needing to be done, such as modifying a rear seat J hook to fit, prepping shock brackets with fake rivets, and replacing the combat rim valve stem protectors. Work on the hood continues, it’s all finished minus the markings! And I continue work on the front axle installing the RZeppa shafts, packing grease into the knuckle, installing the brake plates/drums, and adjusting the brakes!

GPW Axle work begins & Halloween Event!
Finally, after nearly 10 months, the 1943 GPW axles I’ve been slowly restoring to replace the CJ axles currently on the Jeep are starting to be put back together! After several weeks of issues getting the ring and pinions set, both axles are finally set! Now to put them together. This week, I started work on the rear axle first, with everything from adding the drum bearings to setting the brakes!

Military Vehicle Swap meet and Axle Work Begins!
PART 1: As I predicted, last week was the calm before the storm, and this past week it’s been one heck of a ride! In fact, it’s so much I have to split it into two parts! After attending a military vehicle swap meet, I came away with a horde of new items for the Jeep, including an original Sparton Horn which I completely restore in this update! Look for Part 2 on Monday!
